Introduction

Welcome to Chalk & Oak Flowers. By accessing this website and placing an order, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services.

About Us

Chalk & Oak Flowers is seasonal flower grower and  florist business providing fresh floral arrangements, bouquets, and floral styling services for retail, events, and weddings.

 Orders

All orders are subject to availability and acceptance. Once an order is placed, you will receive confirmation via email. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order if necessary.

 Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.

  • Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering unless otherwise agreed, such as part payments for wedding/event services.

  • We reserve the right to amend prices at any time, but this will not affect confirmed orders.

  • Payments are via direct bank transfers, no cash.

 Simple Seasonal Wedding Service

  • A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking date, once flower order is received.

  • The deposit may be transferred to a new date if rescheduled, subject to our availability & notice.

  • The remaining balance must be paid no later than 2 weeks prior to the collection or delivery date.

  • If flowers are not being collected, a delivery charge may apply, which will be discussed and confirmed within your quotation.

  • If a simple set-up service is required as an add-on, this is charged at £45 per hour.

  • Any hired items (e.g. milk churns) must be returned to Chalk & Oak Flowers premises. If collection is required, a pick-up fee plus additional time charges will apply.

  • Wedding flower orders cancelled less than one week before the event are non-refundable.

  • Failure to pay the balance on time may result in cancellation, and the deposit will be retained

Bespoke Weddings/Events

  • Bespoke wedding services or events require a minimum spend of £1000.

  • £100 to secure date (non-refundable but subtracted from your final invoice.

  • 50 % payment to be made within 30days of quotation and deposit placed.

  • Please refer to our website for full details of what is included within this package.

  • An initial hourly consultation and one follow-up consultation are included but any additional consultations or significant changes beyond this may incur extra charge at £40 pre re-invoice.

  • Rest of payment need to be paid in full 4 weeks prior to the wedding date. An invoice at that time will be sent.

  • Additional charges will apply via delivery, site visits, clear down. (We charge 50p per mile plus £50 per half day van hire with weekends charged at double rate. Any extra fees, such as parking charges, tolls, staff time etc, will be billed after your wedding. Site visit before or after consultation, charged at same rate as delivery, 50p per mile plus £45 per hour, minus van hire. Collection/clear down £45 per hour, 50p per mile

  • Additional fees will apply if your wedding/event needs an extra pair of hands e.g. hiring an additional freelance Florist on the day to help set up/or clean down.

Availability of Flowers

I can’t promise specific flowers because I choose each bloom based on what looks its absolute best in the days leading up to your wedding, but you can rest easy knowing every choice will be fresh, carefully conditioned, beautiful, and full of life. When needed, I also gather extra stems from local, like-minded growers to make sure your arrangements are just right. My goal is to provide you with stress-free, lovingly curated flowers that you can enjoy and feel delighted by, on your special day!I do work to a general colour and style, based on our discussions, plus emails and photos that you send in. Please note this never produces identical flowers or designs to the photos that you send in, these are used as inspiration only.

 Consultations & Quotations

  • All quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

  • Prices may vary depending on seasonal flower availability and market conditions.

  • Changes to your order after booking may result in price adjustments. 

 Delivery & Collection

  • Delivery times are estimates and cannot be guaranteed.

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate delivery details.

  • If no one is available to receive the delivery, flowers may be left in a safe place at the driver’s discretion.

  • We are not liable for delays due to traffic, weather, or other circumstances beyond our control.

 Substitutions

Due to seasonal and supply variations, we reserve the right to substitute flowers or materials. Any substitutions will be of equal or greater value and in keeping with the agreed style and seasonal ehtos.

 Cancellations & Refunds or complaints

  • Flower club or one-off orders may be cancelled up to 48 hours before delivery for a part or full refund.

  • Cancellations within 24 hours may not be eligible for a refund, as flowers are often picked and conditioning at that time.

  • Deposits for weddings/events are non-refundable.

  • If you are dissatisfied, please notify us within 24 hours of delivery with photographic evidence to lucy@chalkandoakflowers.com. We will also try our best to resolve issues, if the fault is ours.

 Perishable Goods

Flowers are perishable and sensitive to environmental conditions. All flowers are picked and conditioned properly. We cannot guarantee longevity once delivered or collected, especially as some flowers natural have a longer bloom life then others. Care and responsibility for the flowers, once they have been collected, lies entirely with the customer. We are happy to give care instructions and advice on transportation and storage. Receipt of full payment will be considered acceptance of our terms and conditions.

 Hire Items & Equipment

  • Any hired items (e.g. vases, arches, props) remain the property of Chalk & Oak Flowers.

  • A refundable deposit may be required.

  • Items must be returned in good condition within the agreed timeframe.

  • Damaged or unreturned items will be charged at replacement cost.

 Set-Up & Access ( Events/Weddings)

  • The client must ensure safe and adequate access to the venue at agreed times.

  • Any delays caused by restricted access may affect setup and charges and we are not liable for resulting issues.

  • Breakdown/collection times/charges will be agreed in advance where applicable.

 Changes to Orders

  • Any changes must be requested in email writing

  • We will do our best to accommodate changes but cannot guarantee availability, especially close to the event date or delivery

 Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to extreme weather, supply chain disruption, illness, or venue closure.

 Photography

We reserve the right to photograph our work and use the images for portfolio, website, and social media purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.

 Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including images, branding, and text, remains the property of Chalk & Oak Flowers and may not be used without permission.

 Liability

Our liability is limited to the value of the goods supplied. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

 Privacy

Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time.

 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.​
